A Room on the Roof
For a limited time only from September 2011, you can spend the night in a hotel room on the roof of the Queen Elizabeth Hall. A quirky boat-shaped hotel suite has been perched upon the building, giving guests an incredible view of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and more. When you “board” the hotel, a nautical flag will be raised and you will be able to record your experiences in the logbook.
Ghostly Accommodation
The Langham is one of the oldest hotels in London, and according to the legends its historic halls and rooms are very haunted. Many previous guests have reported to have witness ghosts roaming about its elegant interior. If you are a true ghost hunter, book Room 333 which is supposed to be the most haunted of the entire hotel.
A Human Bed Warmer
The Holiday Inn Kensington Forum has one of the strangest special services of any hotels in London. You can actually request a Human Bed Warmer, which is a member of staff will arrive at your roo wearing a special head-to-toe suit and hop into your bed for five minutes before you go to sleep for the night to warm up the sheets and make them nice and cosy. Speaking of strange hotel services, the Hotel Andaz in London offers a Bedtime Storyteller who will come into your room and read you the book of your choice.
Rock and Roll Hotel
You will feel like a rock star at the very unique and funky Pavilion Fashion Rock ‘N Roll Hotel in London. Each of the 24 rooms is decorated with a different theme corresponding to a music icon or genre, such as the Honky Tonk Afro room inspired by the disco era of the 1970s and the stylish black and white Monochrome Marilyn room.
Staying at these fun and quirky hotels in London will mean that your accommodation will provide you with just as many interesting stories as the attractions in London that you visit.
