A few months back a client came to me and showed me a strict diet plan along with an exercise plan. This man was coming from a celebrity trainer, but surprisingly he was not satisfied with the results.
When he showed me the plan, I did not find it worthy enough to follow because he told him to do some moves for 20 minutes. He asked to do punch as fast as he can along with arm raises along with knee raises. This was the exercise plan and when I had a look at eating plan it says that you can lose 5 pounds in five days.
Let me tell you that I do not believe and neither have I suggested my clients to follow this kind of fitness regime. His meal plan was calorie restrictive and most of his calories were coming from packaged foods. Again, this celebrity trainer was making a mistake because packaged food items are not healthy. These food items are tasty and people like to consume them repeatedly, but they do not have sufficient nutrients in them. I was surprised that why he did not suggest this client to opt for fruits and vegetables and take part in different types of physical activities.
Why This Plan Was Wrong?
This plan was not good because it was restricting him to consume healthy calories. He was also suggesting consuming two slices of frozen pizza in the dinner. This plan works when you have little time and want to achieve certain weight loss goal. However, this plan is not good enough to get permanent results because you will keep on consuming packaged food items, then from where you will fulfill the requirements of your body. Your body is in need of constant supply of minerals and vitamins and other essential items. He can also opt for following a 6 week cycle.
Client’s Perspective
This client told me that the mentioned food items never worked and on the contrary, he gained more weight. He visited the celebrity fitness expert to lose a couple of pounds. When he failed to achieve then he came to me. The diet he suggested me made me overeat and gain weight and without understanding, I was following it. Client told me that he had performed much better if he had purchased a diet book or had taken a different approach to lose belly fat.
What I told him is that his crash dieting slowed his metabolism and made it nearly impossible for him to lose weight. I also indicated that if he would have followed the same kind of diet plan for long. He will face serious health problems. Hyperacidity, lack of energy has a direct link with eating processed food items.
What I suggested him to do small changes in his lifestyle and he could make lifestyle changes over the period. These changes will work in the same direction and he will achieve his goals comfortably. I suggested him for following a 6 week cycleand high intensity interval training as well as take part in his favorite physical activities.
